    Womens Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (Cornwall)

    Rape & Sexual Abuse Helpline
    WRSAC's Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Service runs a Helpline and Outreach Service (this service covers East, Mid and North Cornwall) for victims and survivors of rape, sexual assault, incest, childhood sexual abuse and sexual exploitation. The Rape and Sexual Abuse Helpline is live Monday to Thursday 10 – 1pm and Monday evening from 7.30 – 10pm. At these times calls are answered by our specialist support workers. At other times we have a 24-hour answer-phone service.

    Specialist Sexual Violence Counsellors
    Specialist Sexual Violence Counsellors provide and co-ordinate sexual violence counselling, support and advocacy for women and teenage girls who have experienced sexual violence of any kind and who also have complex problems and needs arising from the long term effects of this violence. These issues can and often do include mental health problems, drugs and alcohol misuse, eating disorders and other self-harm etc. The project also works with survivors who have learning disabilities.

    The Women’s Domestic Violence Support Network (WDVSN)
    (WDVSN) delivers a Helpline and Outreach service.The Helpline currently runs on Monday evenings from 7.30pm - 10pm and Thursdays 10am – 1pm. At these times calls are answered by our specialist support workers. When the lines are not live we have a 24-hour answer-phone service. Our service is free, friendly and confidential and may involve talking over the phone or arranging to meet in a place where women feel safe and comfortable.
