British Red Cross

The British Red Cross Refugee Service provides support for Asylum Seekers, Refugees and vulnerable migrants across the Southwest. We have offices across Devon and Cornwall and can do outreach work as required.

The British Red Cross has just launched its new five year strategy "Refusing to Ignore people in crisis". For the Refugee Service this means supporting Asylum Seekers, Refugees and vulnerable migrants in a range of ways, from destitution support, orientation, international family tracing, family reunion travel asssistance, therapeutic and psycho-social support, to volunteering opportunities.

Destitution support - advocacy, basic legal support, food vouchers, signposting and referrals to other partner agencies International Family Tracing - for those who have been separated by conflict or disaster Orientation - Information and guidance to access health, education, welfare and legal services, family reunion travel assistance psycho-social support - our network of trained staff and volunteers can assist traumatised victims

  2. Supporting refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants to access the support they need, regardless of status.

  3. we can provide support for refugee, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants who have been victims of crime. We offer a bespoke service and have trained staff and volunteers with wide ranging skills and languages

  4. The British Red Cross supports vulnerable migrants who might need a range of support and advice from trained staff and volunteers with a wide range of skills and languages. If you are in need of help, please call us.
