Cornwall Dyslexia Association

Cornwall Dyslexia Association supports dyslexic children and young people in education and adults in the workplace. We offer advice and guidance to dyslexic people, family and friends, and provide dyslexia screenings, full dyslexia assessments, literacy support and training for those in the statutory or voluntary sector, in business, education or employment services. We raise awareness of dyslexia and campaign for appropriate provision for dyslexics in schools and colleges and the workplace.

Cornwall Dyslexia Association is a registered charity that was established in 1991. Our vision is of a dyslexia friendly society that enables dyslexic people of all ages to reach their full potential.

We support the needs of dyslexic children and young people in education and their families.

We support adults who are out of work, in education, training or in the workplace.

We raise public and professional awareness of dyslexia and campaign for appropriate provision for dyslexics in the community.

We offer:

•Information and advice through our helpline and Dyslexia Advice Centre in Truro.
•Dyslexia screening and full dyslexia assessments.
•Information sheets on a wide range of topics to do with dyslexia.
•Literacy support.
•Training workshops for those working in, the statutory or voluntary sector, in business, and those in education or employment services.
•An annual dyslexia conference for education providers.
•Talks and workshops on a wide variety of issues to do with dyslexia.
•Support for the Dyslexia Friendly Schools Quality Mark.
