Cruse Bereavement Care in Cornwall is here to support people throughout Cornwall after the death of someone close. Cruse Bereavement Care in Cornwall enables anyone suffering a bereavement caused by death to understand their grief and cope with their loss. Our policy is to treat each bereaved person as an individual with their own needs and to offer the support that, together, we believe is appropriate for them at that particular time of their life.

Cruse Bereavement Care in Cornwall, offers:

Someone to talk to face-to-face, or on the telephone for any bereaved person throughout Cornwall, regardless of their age,sex, where, when or how the death occurred.

Our services are provided by trained,experienced Volunteers.

Our services are confidential and free of charge.

We have a Helpline staffed by trained, experienced Volunteers for 4 hours a day Monday to Friday. When you call the Helpline on 01726 76100 you will get straight through to the Volunteer on duty or you will hear a message giving details of when the next Volunteer will be available.

We offer monthly Friendship groups in 6 Cornish Towns.

We provide helpful literature and publications for bereaved people or those working with them. Our booklet Coping with Trauma and Loss, explains some common reactions and sources of help when someone close may have died in sudden and/or traumatic circumstances or they may have witnessed a death or the deaths and injury of others.

We offer information about many aspects of bereavement and other sources of help and support.

We hold training courses for professionals, our volunteers and anyone who has an interest in bereavement.
