YoungMinds is the UK’s leading charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. Driven by their experiences we campaign, research and influence policy and practice.

YoungMinds also provides expert knowledge to professionals, parents and young people through our Parents' Helpline, online resources, training and development, outreach work and publications.

YoungMinds mission is to improve the emotional resilience and mental health of children and young people throughout the UK by informing and actively engaging with children, young people, parents, carers, policymakers and professionals.

  1. With more than 850,000 children and young people in the UK being diagnosed with a mental health condition, YoungMinds offers a range of support for young people, parents and professionals across the UK.

  2. Just as people’s bodies can become unwell, people’s minds can become unwell too. Mental health problems are more common than you might think. As a result of this, YoungMinds provides a range of information and support for young people with mental health issues and concerns.

  3. If you are concerned about your own mental wellbeing, or that of a family member, YoungMinds provides a range of information and support for children, young people, and adults across the UK.

  4. Helping parents and carers to understand their child’s behaviour and enabling them to secure the right professional help for their children is crucial. YoungMinds free Parents' Helpline is a lifeline to thousands of parents and carers each year who are worried about the emotional problems or behaviour of a child or young person. The telephone service is supported by a specialist callback service and email support.
