Young People Cornwall

Young People Cornwall engages, inspires and supports young people across Cornwall, with youth work that makes a difference. We are proud of our proactive and innovative approaches to working with young people. In 2014 we celebrated our 40th birthday and we have always put young people at the heart of what we do. We build strong, positive and lasting relationships with young people, being mindful of their whole lives, working with positive and considered regard to their families and the communities they live in.

We focus on developing and nurturing trusting relationships with young people and encouraging progression - as need emerges and as they are ready. They progress within our own projects by providing more intensive support, and are referred to outside services where needed, and for continued education, training or employment.

What we do: We have an excellent track record of working with young people in youth centres, mobile and outreach settings, project work and schools based informal education. Our range of activities includes sports and music, performance and cookery skills, money skills and sexual health training, young people led events, outdoor activities through to support around personal and sensitive issues. We have a qualified, professional staff and volunteer team. We also mentor and train young people showing talent and skill in youth work and several of our current staff team started at YPC either as young people or as volunteers.
